Larry's trip to the Pumpkin Patch
Logan's Trip to the Pumpkin Patch
Jesse and I took Logan to a very cool Pumpkin Patch- Daniel's on Jungerman Rd. He got to go on a pony ride and a train ride. Our pony's name was Oreo! Logan also got to play in the hay maze- chasing Daddy- as well as play in the corn boxes (sand boxes with dried corn kernals instead of sand- very cleaver). There was also some very large tire swings that Logan had a ball on. So much to do and so little time.

My Baby Girl Reese
Baby Reese is 4ish months old now and a chunk! I must say she is the cutest butterball I have ever seen. She will smile for a second, show off her dimples, and then get back to her serious face licketty split!

Big Boy Potty
I got a note from Logan's preschool teacher Mrs. Suzie that Logan went pee on the big boy potty! Very proud since he is not even 2 years old yet. I know it was only once but it is a light at the end of an expensive diaper tunnel.

More Pictures from the Summer of 2011
We got out the exersaucer when we were going to watch baby Matthew. Logan had more fun with it now than he did when it was appropriate for his age! Now he climbs in but can't get out.
Boy Scout outting to the pool. Logan had a blast. He is a fish! Larry and Jesse went down all the big water slides.
Family movie night. I don't remember what we watched but the boys were glued to the screen.
Poor Logan. Mommie made him model the flowered headbands she made for baby Reese!
Random Pictures from the Summer
Logan stole Daddy's Fries!
I think your supposed to put blocks inside this toy- not little boys.
A boy and his dog. I keep saying no more pets when the ones we have now are no longer with us. I have a funny feeling we will end up with a Maddie Mae 5 (King of Queens reference)!

Larry went on a Pirate Cruise when he was in Florida and got his face painted.

August Update
I just spent a long time typing this up and then I don't know what happened, but I was kicked off and nothing saved. So here we go for the second time.
Larry is back to school. We are in week 2 and things are not going well already. Larry's mom has made a unilateral decision to take Larry off his ADD medicine. The teacher has already called home and his homework is suffering greatly. This ought to be a fun year!
"What you doing mom/dad?" has gotten oh so old. I think we hear it 9 million times a day. Logan has also moved on to the phrase "Not yet." This one is cute in situations like when you ask "Do you want a spankin?" and he answers in a pitiful voice "Not yet." Logan has started a new daycare/preschool. He is still adjusting in the mornings and it is not so cute to hear as you are rushing out the door "No Mommy not yet" from your crying toddler. However it is short lived. When I go to pick him up he doesn't want to leave. I'm chopped liver then. Everyone at the daycare adores him and can't get over how cute he is. Of course- what did you expect. He is the cutest kid ever!
I am working for Twin Oaks these days. Add me to the list of family employees! I am a weekend receptionist for the Independent Living side. Pretty easy gig. I give tours every once in awhile and other than that I am just trying to learn every one's names. Working on the weekends doesn't leave me as much time to Extreme Coupon as I want, but we are pretty stocked up and there hasn't been any super duper can't believe I'm getting this that cheap deals lately so it's all good. My last big bargain was 24 boxes of name brand cereal for $24. I saved $39. Not too shabby.
We are surviving as a one car family but cannot wait to get some bills taken care of so we can get a second car again. We decided against the scooter since it would only get us thru to maybe late November. Might as well save the money and put it towards a car.
Logan's second birthday is not too far off and that means Halloween is around the corner too. Jesse is already talking about making Logan Wolverine. I am looking into planning a Micky Mouse themed birthday party. I am copying off a mom from Logan's old babysitter. She had a ton of cute but easy ideas that I plan on duplicating. I hope it's nice weather so we can have the party outside or at a park. Our house is just too small. There is even a rumor Uncle Jeremy and his kiddos will be able to come up from Nixa for the festivities.

July Update
So I have been very lax in posting this month. However not much has happened in the past few weeks. Logan started saying Mommy on Father's day- how ironic. I was over it the next day. Mommy Mommy Mommy- ahhhhh! He also now asks (over and over and over again) "What you doing?" That one is still pretty cute.
Yesterday Logan pointed both fingers at me , gave me a stern looking face, and said "Stop it!." I asked,"Stop what?" and he pointed one finger at me, gave me that same stern face, and said " I say stop it!" So like his mother!
Larry is ramping up to go to Florida with his Mother, Step Father, and brother Jonathan. They are going to the Ft Meyer Beach area. Hoping all goes well and everyone returns safe and sound. School starts in about 2 weeks. Jesse and I cannot believe Larry will be in the 5th grade. Where has the time gone? We went school supply shopping over the weekend. Larry insisted on getting a backpack with one strap because that is what middle schoolers carry.
Both kids got hair cuts yesterday. Larry no longer looks like a shaggy dog and Loan- well Logan wouldn't sit still and his hair cut is kind of crooked. Oh well, better than looking sloppy. Thanks Aunt Dee Dee!
We sold Jesse's truck. We are now a one car family. Trying to be very serious in paying off some debt. Hopefully this will save us some serious cash! In the mean time we are hoping to be able to buy a scooter for Jesse to take Larry to school and get to work.

Logan and His Big Boy Table
Aunt Katie picked up a toddler table and chairs for Logan. No more high chair for him! He does really well following directions. When it's time to eat he goes right over and sits down. Rarely does he get up without permission and he even helps clear his dishes when he is done. He is either a great kid or already OCD!
