Logan- Snug as a Bug in a Rug
This morning Logan had to get up a little early to take a bath. Afterwards he snuggled himself into our bed while we got ready for work.
Boy Scout Space Race
On Friday the 13th not only did the J2 Brannan family gain our 1st niece/female cousin but Larry got second place at the Boy Scouts Space Race. There was an incident the 1st round that ended in tears (Larry tried to stop the propeller and "injured" his finger). However, he recovered pretty well and went on to win lots of races after that. Logan played at the playground at Laurel Park - what a beautiful park!

Logan's latest trick
PaPa Tim taught Logan how to use the remote control for the fan and lights to turn them on and off. Now he pushes his toys up to the light switches, climbs on top of his toys, and flicks my lights on and off...over and over again.
Update- Reese is here!
Jesse and I are very excited that Uncle Andy will soon be the proud Papa to baby girl Reese Brannan. Julie went into labor a little while ago. Stay tuned for pictures!
Update- Baby Girl Reese Lillian Brannan was born at approx 5am on Friday the 13th (May)! She is beautiful. She looks a lot like her Daddy.

Larry's 10th Birthday
Jesse and I can hardly beleive that Larry is 10! That makes me feel old. On his actual birthday Jesse took him out to breakfast at IHOP. Larry was so excited that they brought him ice cream (for breakfast) and sang to him for his bday. He also got to go on a field trip on his birthday. His class (and Jesse as a chaperone) went to see the Disney nature movie African Cats.
Larry had his friend's Kaitlyn and David spending the night on Saturday. The kids watched Night at the Museum and then were too scared to sleep downstairs with Gus (the knight statue we have in the corner). They were afraid he would come to life while they were sleeping. I would have never thought Night at the Museum would backfire on me. Larry ended up sleeping in his room and Kaitlyn and David were upstairs on the couch.
On Sunday we had a small party with some family and friends. Larry had a space shuttle cake which I made myself. Turned out pretty well, but it is clear that I will not be on "Cake Boss" anytime soon. Larry got some new DS games, clothes, shoes, and cash.

Scouts Help With Tornado Clean Up
Below is a story about Larry's Boy Scout Troop. Jesse and Larry went with the Troop to help clean up from the recent tragic tornados. Jesse said he was so proud of Larry because he never stopped (or whined). He was helping clean up from start to finish. You can see Jesse in all the pictures- he's wearing the black West Coast Choppers tshirt.
Scouts help with tornado clean up
Written by Scott Connell
Maryland Heights, Mo. (KSDK) -- A group of Boy Scouts was among the volunteers on the ground in the hard hit city of Maryland Heights Saturday helping one family clean up and pack up after the Good Friday tornado.
Kyle Kurtz, senior patrol leader with Troop 533 from St. Charles county, found out about Kim Coddington's home being damaged in the storm from his father who works with a family member of Coddington. "We have people, we do service projects, we should help," said Kurtz.
After making a plan of how the Troop could help, an e-mail was circulated, and Saturday, Troop 533 showed up along with several of Kim's friends from Grace Church.
The Coddington home was inhabitable with parts of the roof missing following the storm and everything needed to be packed up and taken out of the house. The yard was littered with storm debris.
Working together, the Scouts and the church group cleaned the yard and packed and moved Coddington's belongings. Like many storm victims, Coddington still doesn't exactly know what will happen next, but knows she will have help along the way from both groups when she needs it.
